Hanoi works to give at least one COVID-19 vaccine shot to adults by September 15
According to the city’s Health Department, the city has set up fixed and mobile vaccination facilities to reach the capacity of administering 200,000 vaccine doses per day.
Priority has been given to frontline health workers, people over 65 years of age, those with underlying diseases, and women with at least 13 weeks of pregnancy.
Before getting vaccinated, all people must be tested for SARS-CoV-2 to screen for infections in the community.
Mobile emergency teams have also been established to inoculate workers at industrial parks and densely populated areas in the city.
In addition, the city’s health sector has worked to prepare concentrated quarantine facilities for F1 cases in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the community.
The city has a total of 10,600 patient beds at 135 quarantine facilities, and is capable of accommodating nearly 43,000 people. There are more than 3,800 people currently under quarantine.
Hanoi also develops medical scenarios and response plans for COVID-19, following the Ministry of Health’s "3-storey tower" model in COVID-19 treatment, in which COVID-19 patients are classified in different groups depending on their health conditions and treatment methods.
Since the fourth COVID-19 outbreak, Hanoi's medical facilities have received and treated 3,581 COVID-19 patients, 2,071 of which have been discharged from hospital.
