Ho Chi Minh City establishes steering committee for COVID-19 control and economic recovery
The Steering Committee is responsible for developing plans for COVID-19 prevention and control and economic recovery in Ho Chi Minh City across two stages (from September 15 to December 31, 2021 and from 2022 to the following years) in accordance with the development of the epidemic.
The committee consists of 17 members, led by Chairman of City People’s Committee Pham Van Mai.
The City People’s Committee has formed advisory groups for the Steering Committee in developing plans for COVID-19 prevention and control and economic recovery including the COVID-19 prevention and control working group, the social welfare working group, the economic recovery working group and the investment project promotion working group.
The groups are responsible for boosting inter-sectoral coordination to address important works in removing difficulties for enterprises when they are conducting investment projects in the City.
