Female pharmacist at Cho Ray Hospital died from acute pulmonary edema
A source on June 30 confirmed to Tien Phong news that a female employee working in the Pharmacy Department of Cho Ray Hospital, living in Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City died on the evening of June 25.
Before that, at 3:00 pm on June 25, a 39-year-old female staff from the Faculty of Pharmacy B.T.L. received the second dose of the vaccine. After the injection, this person was in normal health, and went home at 16:30. At home, Ms. L. plays with her two children.
Around 8 pm, after eating, she felt tired, so Ms. L went to bed early. After a while, family members inquired but did not find Ms. L.'s answer, so they came to check and found that she was motionless. The female pharmacist was taken to the emergency room at Cho Ray Hospital at about 9:37 pm, but doctors determined that Ms. L had died before arriving at the hospital.
Ms. L. has no underlying disease. She was carefully screened before the 2nd dose vaccination. After being vaccinated, this person is normal, no symptoms. Immediately after the incident, the hospital invited the authorities to investigate to clarify the cause and report the incident to the Ministry of Health. After an autopsy at about 2pm on June 26, the authorities said that the results showed that the female pharmacist's lungs were swollen and there was a lot of foam in the airways. Concluding the cause of death was due to acute pulmonary edema, not vaccine as the information spread.
