HCMC restaurant owner, children test coronavirus positive
The 58-year-old woman visited the Medic Medical Center of Hoa Hao Hospital in District 10 for a chest radiograph on Wednesday morning.
As doctors there detected abnormalities in her lungs, they transferred her to Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital in District 5 which tested her for coronavirus and came up with positive result.
Two of her children who live in the same house on Alley 287 on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street have also tested positive for coronavirus following contact tracing.
The three cases have not been confirmed Covid-19 patients, pending further test results.
District 10 authorities have ordered the Medic Medical Center to stop receiving patients while District 3 has isolated the alley where the family live and run a small restaurant selling noodle soup. Around 100 families in the alley are affected.
HCMC earlier recorded three patients in the ongoing Covid wave, the first one being a man from northern Ha Nam Province who visited the city.
The two other cases are recorded in the past two days: a 35-year-old man in Thu Duc City and a 34-year-old woman in District 7 who work at the same company in District 3.
It is not clear if the restaurateur and her children are related to the two recent cases.
