Japan to donate additional COVID-19 vaccine to Vietnam

The Japanese Government on September 3 decided to provide additional COVID-19 vaccines for Vietnam, expected to arrive in the country on September 9, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is the result of high-level advocacy and efforts of the Government's Working Group on vaccine diplomacy.

Japan has so far donated about three million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Vietnam.
