Japan relaxes immigration policy for Vietnamese workers
The accepted vaccines are Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca and Jassen, Vietnam’s Department of Overseas Labour said Wednesday, adding that the third vaccine dose must be either Pfizer or Moderna for those who receive mixed doses.
Japan has been imposing strict immigration policies and entry requirements over the last two years because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Before the pandemic, the country hosted over 200,000 Vietnamese interns and over 30,000 workers.
In Q1, Vietnam sent nearly 2,500 workers overseas, with the top three destinations being Japan (600), followed by Taiwan (430) and South Korea (330).
