Vietnam's Covid infection tally up by 37
The Health Ministry on Monday morning confirmed 37 new local Covid-19 cases linked to previously confirmed patients.
The new cases are reported in four northern provinces of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang.
Of them, 22 cases in Bac Giang are related to the clusters at three industrial parks Quang Chau, Van Trung, and Dinh Tram in Viet Yen District while 11 cases in Bac Ninh and three cases in Vinh Phuc are people who have come into close contact with previously confirmed Covid-19 patients.
The case in Tuyen Quang is a woman that has had contact with an infected worker at a company in Bac Giang's Quang Chau Industrial Park.
Vietnam has been coping with a new Covid-19 wave that broke out on April 27 and has so far seen 1,177 cases in 27 cities and provinces, with Tuyen Quang added to the list Sunday. Among the patients, 336 are in Bac Giang and 252 are in Bac Ninh.
